Beyond the First Three Weeks

When your landscape has settled, it's a good idea to start using your irrigation system for watering, especially if we installed it for you. This helps the roots to naturally seek out water, which encourages their growth. After about two weeks, you can begin using Miracle Grow to give your plants a little extra boost. Consider applying it once a week or every other week for the best results. This routine will help keep your landscape vibrant and healthy!

Specialized Care for New Seeds

Germinating seeds require patience and frequent attention:

Watering Seeds: Maintain soil moisture by watering 3-4 times daily for the first 4-6 weeks. Use a timer to help maintain frequency.

Equipment Assistance: Consider Orbit tripod sprinklers and a compatible timer for effective watering.

The First 10-14 Days: The “Stressed Out” Stage

Newly planted materials are a bit stressed after planting. Here's how to give them the care they need:

Watering Schedule: Adopt a 3-day watering schedule. If it’s unusually hot, add an extra day.

Hand Watering: Initially, hand watering is essential to ensure the entire root ball receives adequate water.

Signs of Distress: Watch out for wilting, which can indicate over or under-watering.

Seasonal Care Tips

Fall and Winter

Continue to water trees and shrubs weekly, but avoid watering when temperatures are below freezing.
